The Laser Distance – Sick Sensor DR35-B15522 has a few key applications in cranes including positioning, load monitoring, collision prevention, automation, and operational efficiency. This laser distance sensor allows operators to track the height of hooks, trolley positions, and the span between supports. This helps to reduce hook sway and enables precision for overhead and tower crane operations. Sensors also detect proximity of the crane to walls, machinery, other cranes, and restricted zones.
